<p><strong>Don&#8217;t Get Overwhelmed</strong></p>
<p>When you&#8217;re in the middle of a stressful situation, it&#8217;s important to disallow over-anxious and over-analyzed thoughts. You <em>really</em> don&#8217;t want to overwhelm yourself with an over-stimulated mind because the added stress will only strain your mind further and you&#8217;ll find it nearly impossible to think positively.</p>
<p><strong>Ways To Look On The Bright Side</strong></p>
<p>How you go about transforming difficult situations into positive outcomes will differ each time. Your goal should be to <strong><em>discover a set of strategies that works well for you.</em></strong> It might take some experimenting, but that&#8217;s okay!</p>
<p><strong>Consider the following ways to achieve a positive mindset:</strong></p>

<p>Meditation has been around for ages and it&#8217;s a great, relaxing activity to engage in everyday. Also, it&#8217;s <strong><em>available to everyone in every moment.</em></strong> Plus, it&#8217;s completely free!</p>
<p>Ultimately, there are no excuses for not being able to meditate. Some will say that they simply don&#8217;t have enough time. But are you not worth a few minutes a day? Of course you are! You should be able to allot yourself at least 15 minutes per day, just to focus on your own success.</p>
<p><strong>How Meditation Can Help</strong></p>
<p>Meditation is an art that has many opinions associated with it and there are also many ways to meditate. A consensus remains around the fact that it&#8217;s about <strong><em>clearing your mind and remaining in the present moment.</em></strong> With regular practice you&#8217;ll gain the necessary clarity and discover truths about your life.</p>
<p>Meditation is a great way for you to discover something you may already know deep down. You operate on many levels and you already know how to achieve the success you desire. Problems arise when you spend too much time dealing with day-to-day activities and too little time exploring your <em>depth.</em></p>
<p><strong>Feel Your Emotions</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>Getting in touch with your emotions is an important thing.</em></strong> It&#8217;s not only reserved for females, nor is it something that will make you vulnerable. It&#8217;s an important step on your way to discovering success.</p>
<p>When you meditate and really feel your emotions on any subject, you&#8217;ll begin to tap into the truth. What is it that you&#8217;re really after? What is your <em>true</em> definition of success?</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll often hear of the actor that achieves fame but still doesn&#8217;t feel fulfilled. You may have also heard about the successful business mogul who reaches career and financial success but still feels incomplete at the end of the day. These people haven&#8217;t <em>truly</em> determined their own definition of success and, instead, have chased someone else&#8217;s dreams.</p>
<p><strong>Enjoy the Process</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>You must stay present and enjoy the process.</em></strong> An actor will remain happy with his or her success if they truly love the art of acting. If they were only after fame and later discovered that it wasn&#8217;t all it&#8217;s cracked up to be, then they may have followed the wrong path and should reevaluate their path to success.</p>
<p>If you spent too much time on your business plans, make sure you take a step back and remember where you&#8217;re going. In this case, you can practice <em>&#8220;walking meditation,&#8221;</em> which is when you go through the steps of your day-to-day life completely aware of what you&#8217;re doing in each moment. This may sound easy, but it can be difficult to master!</p>
<p><strong>Your Focus Can Shift</strong></p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve decided where you&#8217;d truly like your life to go, you can take the steps to get yourself there. However, remember that <strong><em>you can&#8217;t get back lost time.</em></strong> There&#8217;s always a life lesson to be learned by the path you&#8217;ve chosen.</p>
<p>Remember that each moment brings incredible transformations. You need to allow this to happen and resist the urge to fight change. This also means that your life goals may change, as well. And that&#8217;s okay! It helps to go with the flow and be willing to adapt as you go.</p>

<p>Affirmations are excellent statements to meditate on while you&#8217;re achieving your focus. <strong><em>If you remind yourself that you&#8217;ve already achieved success, you&#8217;ll get there. </em></strong></p>
<p>Really spend some time envisioning your success. Think about what it feels like to achieve. In the same way that you would picture yourself in a safe place when you&#8217;re scared, picture yourself in a successful place when you have doubts.</p>

<p>Everyone can benefit by living his or her life with the golden rule in mind. The golden rule is known in all of the world&#8217;s religions. It&#8217;s special because it&#8217;s a concept that we can all agree on, despite our differences.</p>
<p>Simply stated, the golden rule is: <em>&#8220;Treat people the way you&#8217;d like to be treated.&#8221;</em> If you do this, you&#8217;ll definitely keep your regrets to a minimum. You&#8217;ll be learning how to treat people with kindness no matter what. You&#8217;ll be learning how to <strong><em>treat people fairly</em></strong> and you&#8217;ll gain empathy. When you put yourself in someone else&#8217;s shoes before you act, you&#8217;ll be less likely to engage in an act that you&#8217;ll regret later.</p>
<p><strong>Take Swift Action</strong></p>
<p>The next step is to take swift action in your life. You only have one life and <strong><em>the time is now.</em></strong> If your goals are clear and you know what you want, what are you waiting for? A common regret is <em>not</em> doing the things that are truly important to them. You need to do these things instead of putting them off until tomorrow!</p>
<p>Have you always wanted to start your own business? Start one! Would you like to get back in touch with your father? Do it! Yes, it&#8217;s difficult, yet it&#8217;s also simple once you&#8217;ve made the commitment to act.</p>
<p><strong>Spend Time with Loved Ones</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>Spend all the time you can with your loved ones.</em></strong> If they live far away, visit when you can and call often.</p>
<p>Make time for your immediate family by scheduling dinners together or family nights out. Delve deep into the relationships you have with your family. A common regret is sticking to surface topics when it comes to your family. Find out the hopes, fears and even regrets of your family members. Sharing your regrets can be another way of coming to a resolution!</p>
<p><strong>Forget Regret</strong></p>
<p>Ultimately, it always comes down to the fact that <strong><em>you</em></strong> <strong><em>can&#8217;t change the past no matter how hard you try, nor how often you think about it.</em></strong> All you can do is take action <em>now</em> to change what happens in the future.</p>
<p>Regret clouds our current thinking and stands in the way of a happy future. But you have the power to blast through regret and move forward with your life!</p>

This wouldn&#8217;t be an issue if clutter would help you be more productive, but you know all too well that clutter is a productivity killer. In reality, a clutter-free office is a productive office. You&#8217;d be able to find things quicker and get more done without the frustration.</p>
<p>You know you need to make some changes to your organizational habits if you see piles of papers, files, or junk in every nook, corner, and crevice.  Once clutter takes over your workspace it&#8217;s time to fight back with some clutter-free organizational tips!</p>
<p><strong>Creating Your Clutter-Free Office</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>A clutter-free office starts with the desire to get rid of the clutter.</em></strong> Every morning make it a goal to put away (or toss) ten things that are not in the right place.  You can use this strategy anywhere – at home, in the car, or at work – and you&#8217;ll notice a huge difference on a day-to-day basis. If you&#8217;re rather motivated, try removing 20 or more pieces of clutter. Think of how many pieces of clutter you could eliminate if you spent half an hour to the problem!</p>
<p><strong><em>You also need to come up with a filing system for papers.</em></strong>  Paper is often the worst clutter culprit, and if you come up with a way to deal with all of the paperwork, you&#8217;ll find your office to be much easier to work in. This is often as simple as having “in”, “out”, and “to be filed” boxes.  Getting the paperwork off the desk will change the whole look and feel of your space.</p>
<p><strong><em>Empty your garbage bin at least once a day.</em></strong> You probably already do this if you have a cleaning service at work, but if not, make sure you do it regularly. You also need to make sure that you have an adequate-sized wastebasket. If you don’t, you will find trash all over the place. Not only would this be distracting, but you&#8217;ll have a bigger job on your hands than if you had just emptied the bin to begin with!</p>
<p><strong>Computer De-Clutter Tips</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>Make sure that your computer is clutter-free, too!</em></strong> It’s easy to store everything on your computer, but it still counts as clutter, even though it&#8217;s virtual.  Remove any unused icons from your desktop, empty your recycle bin, and make sure you check for viruses and spyware to ensure your computer is running smoothly.  Having virtual clutter on your computer will slow you down and distract you just as much as having real clutter in your office.</p>
<p>A clutter-free office <em>really is</em> a more productive office.  You need to make sure you implement one or all of these strategies so you can maintain a clutter-free office, day in and day out.  It may take some time and effort to get rid of the clutter and keep it that way, but the work will be well worth it because you&#8217;ll feel better, find things faster, and get a whole lot more done in less time.</p>

There are many things that we desire, but there are always challenges that we must overcome before we succeed. After all, the bitterest of obstacles only serve to strengthen us and make victory that much sweeter!</p>
<p><strong>Leaping Past Your Obstacles to Achieve Success</strong></p>
<p>Everyone would be rich, healthy, happy, and successful if it weren&#8217;t for those brick walls that spring up unexpectedly and discourage us, but the real success stories all start with some problem, failure or obstacle.  The truth is, there will always be things that stand in our way. That&#8217;s precisely why we all have a choice: we can choose to believe we can overcome any obstacles, or we can choose to give up.  <strong><em>It always starts with a choice.</em></strong></p>
<p><strong>Setting Attainable Goals to Overcome Obstacles</strong></p>
<p>You need to be able to set attainable, realistic goals so you can leap over the obstacles that are in your way on the path to success. Setting goals is a great way to move past obstacles because it gives you a timeline to help you get things done regardless of the barriers along your path. This will also help you make constant progress toward your goals through prioritization and organization.</p>
<p>Setting goals is important to overcoming obstacles because it allows you to envision your future and create something concrete to work toward. Many people become apprehensive when they only see barriers and roadblocks standing in their way. These people see the obstacles but don&#8217;t see the goal at the end of their journey. Sadly, they give up before they get started. But this doesn&#8217;t have to be you!</p>

<p>If your mind starts running a million miles a minute and you&#8217;re not sure which way to turn next, try to pause and repeat a positive affirmation. When you use the power of positive self-talk, you will program your mind to work in a new and different way.</p>
<p>When things seem as if they are getting out of hand, you can use an affirmation such as, &#8220;I trust my ability to relax. I am calm and peaceful.&#8221;<em> </em>Although this may not be the case at the moment, if you repeat this constantly you will start to believe it. This will help you change your inner dialogue in those moments when you are tempted to succumb to the craziness surrounding you.</p>
<p>Positive affirmations are important because they give you permission to turn off the negative dialogue in your mind and replace it with positive thoughts. <strong><em>The negative dialogue feeds the feelings of turmoil, and when you replace them with peaceful affirmations, you change your life, one positive statement at a time.</em></strong> </p>
<p>If you have a hard time believing that this strategy will work for you, give it a try with an open heart and mind. It really does work!  In no time at all, you&#8217;ll feel more peaceful and reap the benefits in every area of your life.</p>
<p>Many of us feel like we cannot do anything about the crazy lives we lead and the inner discontent we feel. I can assure you that this is <em>not</em> true! When you use positive affirmations, you can reprogram your brain so that there is only room for positive thoughts. You will be surprised to find how quickly a positive affirmation such as, &#8220;I trust that there is a plan for my life, even if it has yet to be revealed to me&#8221; can work for you.</p>

<p>If you  make life complicated and fill it up with a bunch &#8220;stuff,&#8221; how can you ever focus on what matters most?</p>
<p>Many of you are running around trying to squeeze everything you can out of life when, in fact, you&#8217;d be a whole lot happier and healthier if you would savored the beauty of simplicity!</p>
<p><em>Here are some tips you can use today to simplify your life:</em><br />
<strong>Clutter</strong>. When you eliminate the clutter around you, you&#8217;ll gain a deeper appreciation for the things are dearest to you.</p>
<p>Ask yourself: When was the last time I read the stack of books piled up on the floor? When did I last notice the details on one of those little trinkets I got while on vacation? When did I last wear the scarf lying on the closet floor? Give this stuff to someone who needs it!</p>
<p><strong>De-cluttering will give you an opportunity to enjoy the things that truly matter to you.</strong> Plus you&#8217;ll feel a sense of relief with an organized working and living space.<br />
<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Food</strong>. Food is another aspect of your life that can be simplified in many ways. Instead of worrying about the next bite, enjoy the taste of the food that&#8217;s already in your mouth. Savor it. Let it all sink in and try to taste each flavor.</p>
<p>Also, consider the ingredients in your food. Take the time to use quality ingredients instead of processed or chemically enhanced foods. The end result will taste better, and your body and mind will thank you for the nourishment!</p>
<p><strong>Gadgets</strong>. Think of all the gizmos and gadgets in your life. Do you use them all? Do you even use half of them?</p>
<p>The more stuff we have to &#8220;connect&#8221; us, the more we become disconnected! Take the headphones out of your ears, turn off the car radio, and put down your cell phone. Instead of trying to be always connected, communicate with those around you. Nothing is more satisfying than a rewarding conversation or a family fun night!</p>
<p><strong>Thinking</strong>. A cluttered mind steers you away from what&#8217;s most important. The reality is that simple ideas are almost always better. By simplifying your thinking, you open your mind to new possibilities.</p>
<p>A simplified mind doesn&#8217;t mean you aren&#8217;t thinking, it just means that you&#8217;re choosing to focus on one thing with greater clarity.</p>
<p>When your attention is split in several directions, it&#8217;s awfully hard to make rational decisions. And if you&#8217;re dwelling in the past or worrying about the future, how can you live in the moment? Release distractions from your mind and you&#8217;ll not only feel better, but you&#8217;ll regain a sense of peace within you.<br />
<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Schedule</strong>. If you&#8217;re trying to jam a week into a single day, you&#8217;ll feel a tension that will tug you away from where you&#8217;re meant to be. Instead of wondering what&#8217;s next, savor the here and now.<br />
Eliminate some of the clutter in your hectic schedule and do what&#8217;s best for you and your family, not everyone else.<br />
